So It’s Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day. One of the holiday’s I don’t usually get excited over. No, not because I’m single (though there is that) but because I think it’s kind of ridiculous that people need a day to show and tell other people how much they love them. Aren’t we supposed to do that every day? Why do we need a designated day to give people flowers and tell them how much they mean to us?

Honestly I think it would be better to do it on a random day because then it’s a surprise. It also means that you had to think your plans through a little and put some preparation into it. If you make a spectacle on Valentines Day, everyone’s expecting a big show. If you don’t deliver, some human beings decide to go Britney Spears circa 2007 on your ass and hit you with an umbrella.

Regardless, tomorrow is the set date to go out and show the people in your life how much you love them. I’ll be spending the day with a few of the loves of my life, namely Dylan’s Candy Bar and the grand opening of Topshop at the Grove. My love for Topshop is unwavering and limitless. Plus one of my best friends will be with me so we can fangirl over the grand opening together.

Hide yo blazers, hide yo booties and hide yo jewelry CAUSE WE BE BUYING ERRYTHING IN YO STORE TOPSHOP.

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Make sure it’s not only today that you tell the people in your life that you love them. Tell them tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that too.
