Sometime during your day today whether it be on your lunch, when you get home, or when you need a break at work, take 22 minutes to watch Zach Sobiech’s story. Zach was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 17 and was given months to live. Watching his story was one of the most inspirational things I’ve seen in years. I laughed, I cried and I believed every single word this boy said. He just has that aura about him. That he’s genuine in his words and just real.
Zach passed away yesterday, May 20th, at the age of 18. Through his documentary we are reminded that nothing lasts forever. Wise beyond his years, this boy didn’t let the horrible disease stop him from living his life and loving the people around him. As 20-somethings most of us think we’re invincible, that we’ll have forever to right our wrongs. But the truth is, things can be taken away from us in the blink of an eye.
Zach seemed like a genuine human who made the world a better place. I hope his legacy lives on.
