I spent the weekend out in Temecula babysitting my little cousins while their parents were on vacation. Two boys and a little girl, ages five, four and one. I built lego battleships, put dinosaur stickers on every available surface, raced around the house, watched cartoons, ate mac & cheese and rode on a choo choo train at a pumpkin patch.
I love going down to Temecula because it gives me a reality check similar to when I go home home up north. I get to spend time with family and see my priorities again from a new perspective. The kids were great as usual and I spent some quality time with my aunt for a few days which is always full of nothing but laughter. Kids have this crazy way of reminding you to enjoy the simple things in life – like picking out the perfect pumpkin or just enjoying your morning waffles.
