Disclaimer: I’m putting this on my blog so I feel some sort of responsibility if Fit Feb goes to shit in 8 days. BABY STEPS TOWARD TRYING TO BE AN ADULT (but only sometimes because being an adult is hard/sucks a lot.)
So my best friend and I have officially named February, Fit February. We are both dying to get back on our healthy living routine and January was pretty much a shit show (as were the holidays) so it’s time we took control back over our yogi lifestyle.
FF has a few different components. The first is healthy eating. My biggest problem as some of you may or may not know, has to do with having the taste buds of a 12 year old when it comes to veggies. Broccoli, green beans, squash, KALE EW, I hate all of it and avoid at all costs. To counteract my hateful urge against the green team, I’m going to look up new recipes on Pinterest that make veggies look and taste good. Just last night I made this dish and it actually turned out delicious. I’m also going to get back on the smoothie train (but only with spinach – baby steps toward kale MAYBE).
The hardest part of the healthy eating component is going to be very limited sweets (namely only when mother nature comes to town because if I don’t have some chocolate during those days I will CUT A BITCH) and alcohol detox. No wine is going to make Sarah a whiner but 28 days isn’t that bad and my body will feel like Jesus after a detox.
Besides healthy eating I’m going to continue going to yoga 4+ times a week like I’ve normally been doing and if I get brave, I’m going to try and run a little bit this month. I know, I know, big deal for me to actually RUN but I’m going to try. But in the meantime, namaste all the way.
