Mayer and Macaroons.

Standard

I am so excited it’s finally Friday again. Happy TGIF to all of the working folk of the world. Specifically, I can’t wait for it to be 7pm on Saturday.

Why can’t you wait for 7pm on Saturday Sarah?

Because at 7pm on Saturday I will be seeing John Mayer at the Hollywood Bowl.

Many people around me know how I feel about Mr. Mayer. He is one of my end-all-be-alls music wise. I find myself listening to him if I’m having a hard time or if I just need to feel like someone “gets” me. He’s always been one of my go-to’s for pretty much anything. I love him so much he even got an entire painting with a compilation of my favorite songs of his on my wall.

Speaking of end-all-be-alls, I’ve had a pretty damn good year with those. I’ve already seen Ed Sheeran (twice), I will be seeing John on Saturday and I saw Stevie Nicks with Fleetwood Mac in May (best concert of my entire life). That only leaves Ryan Tedder/OneRepublic and Shania Twain. I’m still holding out hope to see Shania sometime before she leaves her residency at Caesars in Vegas before the end of the year.

The rest of my weekend will consist of giving Baby Jetta some much needed lovin, going to yoga, watching Netflix and maybe getting some writing in if I’m lucky. Have a lovely weekend to everyone who is still sticking with me and reading this. If I had the money, I’d buy you all macaroons.

Artsy Weekend

Standard

Friday evening was spent with friends catching up on life. After spending the day at work and then being actively social, I used up all of my social skills for the weekend within just Friday. So all of Saturday and Sunday were spent pretty much being by myself minus a Saturday lunch with one of my good friends from college and a Sunday morning hike.

In my anti-social state, I became an artsy child and completed three different craft projects and two paintings. The craft projects were a chalkboard frame message board for my roommate and I, chalkboard mason jar tops for labeling and ink spot coasters. The ocean color scheme painting is a much overdue gift for a friend’s new apartment and the creativity painting is my new mantra for writing. I had found the quote on Pinterest and was going to print it out to hang somewhere, but I thought “why not paint it on the most ginormous canvas you own instead?” So I did.

I also FINALLY got my macaroons. They were the most delicious treat I could have ever imagined.
