Spotify: February 2014

I realized I didn’t do a Spotify playlist for January, so this is more of a combined playlist for January/February. I just started listening to the Emeli Sande album yesterday afternoon and I am obsessed. Her voice is flawless and her lyrics paint the most wonderful pictures. Also up on the playlist, “Let It Go” from the incredible Frozen soundtrack. I mean come on, it’s Idina Menzel, how do you NOT have that on a continuous playlist for life in general.

Favorite Song of the Moment: Suitcase – Emeli Sande, Let It Go – Idina Menzel

Songs to Dance to: Talk Dirty – Jason Derulo, Pompeii – Bastille, We Are Tonight – Billy Currington

Songs to Cry to: Burning Bridges – OneRepublic, If I Knew – Bruno Mars, Suitcase – Emeli Sande

Spotify: December 2013

Here is my December Spotify playlist. A little heavy on the Florida Georgia Line (because I saw them live a few weekends ago) and everything else is kind of a mashup of random genres. One day all I’ll listen to is Sara Bareilles, another day all I’ll listen to is the Eagles on vinyl. All of it is good, all of it is needed.

PS I have also been listening to the new Beyonce album (who hasn’t unless you’ve been living under a rock) but it is not available on Spotify until next week. Current favorite is XO.)

Favorite song overall: We Remain – Christina Aguilera (I just discovered this song from the Hunger Games soundtrack last night and have had it on repeat constantly.)

Songs to dance to:  Party People – FGL, Take It Easy – Eagles, Little Bird – Ed Sheeran

Songs to cry to: Make You Feel My Love – Adele, Wake Me Up – Ed Sheeran, Gravity – Sara Bareilles.

Spotify: November 2013

Thursdayyyyyyyy. Happy Thursday everyone. Here is my Spotify “currently listening to” playlist for November. It was just last night that I discovered the new Colbie Caillat song and I’M OBSESSED WITH IT. The sound, the track, the lyrics, the melodies, just everything. I love it. Enjoy the rest of these songs on this rare rainy day in Los Angeles.

PS my two favorite holiday songs of all time squeaked into this playlist. Because it’s time for Christmas music and I don’t care what you say.

PPS I’ve also been listening to the new Little Mix album Salute a lot recently but it’s not released in America yet, hence no Spotify. My favorites on that album are Little Me, Towers and Boy. The harmonies in Boy could make Destiny’s Child jealous.

Overall Favorite Song of the Moment: Hold On – Colbie Caillat, Ribs – Lorde

Songs to dance to: Harlem – New Politics, Birthday – Katy Perry

Songs to cry to: Say Something – A Great Big World, Double Rainbow – Katy Perry
