Flowers for Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In yesterday’s post, I told you all I was going to the Katy Perry & Friends “We Can Survive” show at the Hollywood Bowl. Last night’s show was one of the best I’ve ever been too. Not only were all the ladies spectacular in their own right, they all seemed genuinely thankful and happy to be a part of the show where the cause was bigger than themselves.

If you couldn’t make it out to LA to see Katy Perry ROAR with all of her friends for Young Survival Coalition, there is another way you can donate money to the fight against breast cancer. There is this website called The Bouqs that is quiet wonderful.  I’ve used them before when I sent my parents flowers for their anniversary a few months back. Each bouquet is $40 flat (including shipping) and the beautiful flowers you receive are grown all the way in South America.

This month, they have a special on a bouquet of hot pink flowers. You send the flowers to someone you love and The Bouqs donates $5 of the proceeds to City of Hope for breast cancer. I sent a bouquet to my Mama, my Auntie and my Grandma this week and it’s a win for everyone. They get to enjoy beautiful flowers and I get to donate a little bit of money that aids in the fight against breast cancer for other Mama’s, Auntie’s and Grandma’s all across the world.

You can buy a bouquet from The Bouqs by clicking here or by clicking on the picture of the bouquet below. Here’s to the fight against breast cancer and ending it once and for all.

We Can Survive

Tonight I’m going to a concert and my money for this concert goes to the Young Survival Coalition, an organization that helps young women fighting breast cancer.

The show’s lineup is unbeatable. It’s all female and combined makes a total music powerhouse – Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Sara Bareilles, Tegan & Sara, Kacey Musgraves and Bonnie McKee. I have so much love for each of these artists individually (it’s kind of my dream lineup), but more than anything I’m excited that my money for the show is going to help young women who are fighting breast cancer.

Here’s my playlist for the show tonight. You can also find out more about YSL or donate by clicking on the picture of Katy below. #WeCanSurvive
